Caring for broodmares and foals starts with the right feeding program. On our farm, we focus on quality forage, balanced nutrition, and natural management. Most mares thrive on pasture, while slimmer ones get hay with added alfalfa. Foals stay with their moms until 6–8 months and eat free-choice hay. We keep supplements simple — salt, minerals, Step 1 Mare & Foal, and hemp seed when needed.
